Thankfulness depends on what is in your heart, not what is in you hand. Most people have no trouble finding things to complain about, yet in every single situation, that same person also has a lot in which to be thankful. Your circumstances may not be all that great, but wherever you are, it is God’s will that you give thanks in everything (1Thessalonians 5:18). As a Christian, it is possible because no matter what your circumstances are, you can always thank God for deliverance through Christ (see 2 Corinthians 2:14; Romans 7:24-25)
A Breakthrough requires a trial to break through. It would be nice to simply wake up one day and suddenly be a mature Christian, but in order to grow up in God, we will have to go through trial. There is no other way to grow strong spiritually than go through trials. (see 1Peter 5:10)
